Michele Purpora-Tardi of Robele Farms Riding Academy commissioned Randall Michael Tobin to write music for her Equestrian Quadrille team (four horses and riders performing dressage-style gates and maneuvers to music). She explained the costume theme for that year and provided a videotape of the routine. The music was scored using that tape as a guide for tempo changes, and the finished piece was named Caribbean Carnivál. After their performance in Paso Robles, California, The Riding Company at Robele Farms won the National Championship in their class! You can see a video of that routine performed at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center here.
