Isaac Hayes came to Theta Sound to record some PSAs (public service announcements) for the World Literacy Crusade which takes private tutors trained in the study technology developed by author and humanitarian, L. Ron Hubbard, and teaches inner-city youth how to overcome the barriers to learning and study. These youth then turn around and teach others the same techniques. The World Literacy Crusade was acknowledged as the most effective learning program of its kind and Isaac was honored by the NAACP with a prestigious award for his efforts.
